Official opening of the Gibraltar Digital Skills Academy
7th October 2021
Gibraltar Finance is pleased to attend the official opening of the Digital Skills Academy.
After working closely and supporting the Digital Skills Foundation over a number of years, we are delighted to be hosting the launch of the Gibraltar Digital Skills Academy with a panel discussion on 'Addressing the Digital Skills Gap'.
The Hon. Chief Minister Fabian Picardo will officially open the Academy followed by an introduction from Stewart Harrison Founding Trustee of the Foundation. Join us on 7th October at the 4 pm to hear from private sector and education experts on this extremely important initiative for Gibraltar.
The Gibraltar Digital Skills Academy has made closing that gap the priority. Having signed a number of vocational partnerships with companies like Bland Group and Comtact it will ensure academy learners get a practical and real life educational journey. The Academy has been very kindly sponsored by Europort who have provided the premises for no rent for the next three years. All profits made will go directly back into the Foundation and used to provide even better training opportunities at the Academy and giving back to those who need it most. The EV Foundation supports some of the worst off in our society and we are proud to support this very worthwhile cause in committing to ensure every child in Gibraltar has access to technology using both our connections in the technology industry and purchasing equipment too.
