Bank of England says 'no final decision has been made' on digital pound

New technologies are rarely met with open arms and a CBDC is proving a contentious issue in the UK right now.

Concerns over privacy issues with a potential Digital Pound, have been met by the Bank of England assuring the public that “no final decision has been made”.

It's right that regulators scrutinize every aspect of a potential CBDC and Gibraltar supports the UK in considering its options while doing the necessary due diligence, as we always have with our DLT regulation.
